Preface
When I have written narratives in my past school experiences, they made me feel like I had complete control over my stories. My work becomes more personal and easy for me to describe. I also feel like I have room to be creative and express my thoughts differently than I would for a general essay. Since there isn't much research, I can immediately think of things that would make my story interesting for the reader. Being a creative writer is crucial because there may be limited resources to use but it’s our job to make it full. I made an example of that in "Writing Process Roundtable."
My emotional identity stems back to my upbringing in life. I had a solid life as a kid but I struggled academically. I learned from my mistakes and I’ve become an incredible determined and motivated individual. Writing my blog, “Composing an Emotional Scene with Dialogue and Symbolism”, made me reflect on myself and as a person and a writer and digging deep brought out a different style. The total opposite, “Telling Myself a Different Story: A Memoir Counterfactual”, was a fun piece where I got to twist the truth and see how things would be if I made a different decision. I encourage you to take a look.
As I mentioned, I've made mistakes and that’s ok. In my blog, A Letter To My Author Self, I discuss where I was lost in my writing and where I can improve. Many times we are so hard on ourselves but this time around, I apologized. I look forward to bringing content to this page and I hope that this project will continue to teach me how to improve myself as well as showing you, the reader, my identity.

Here are the drafts of my memoir.
